The most common and critical issue in our countries is the fact of being controlled by a dictatorial political system, which certainly led to a massive range of human rights violations, lack of freedom of expression, injustice laws, inequality on many levels, and tens of thousands of arbitrarily detained and forcibly disappeared people, noting the dangerous linked violations such as torture, ill-treatment, lack of health care and bad living conditions in detention centers, and the remarkable impact on the families on multiple levels, legal, administrative, procedural, financial, emotional and psychological.

This is an ongoing suffering, taking into consideration that we the founders of Voix des Prisonniers live in this suffering, so we can feel how other families’ situations could be, we fight to put their tragedy on the priority list of international actors and to have their voices and demands heard by the public opinion.

We are fighting for everyone and everywhere because we believe that our cause is fair and those hundreds of thousands of people have rights and they deserve to acknowledge and defend their rights.
